He was born in Alboraia (Valencia). He studied clarinet at the Conservatory of Valencia with Joan Cerveró. After graduating with a performer's degree for clarinet he did an Interpretation Master at the Conservatory of Milan with Alessandro Carbonare. At the same time he studied bass clarinet with Antonio Goig and Harry Sparnaay. He widened his clarinet studies with José Vicente Herrera, Joan Enric Lluna, Reinhart Wieser, Pascal Moragués, Miguel Espejo, Vicent Alós, Bertram Egger, Eric Hoepich, Gili Rinot and Louis Sajote. He was introduced to the study of historical instruments by the hand of Lorenzo Coppola with whom he did the “Master de Interpretación de Música Antigua” at the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya).
He has developed an important task in the chamber music field since his training. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Quartet de Clarinets Quatre Vents with whom he has been awarded in the following competitions:
First Prize at the Chamber Music Competition of Castellterçol, First Prize at the Chamber Music Competition of Ciutat de Manresa, First Prize at the Montserrat Alavedra Chamber Music Competition of Terrasa and Third Prize at the Chamber Music Competition of Guadamora.
In 2008 he founded the Trio Musicalis, composed of a violin, a clarinet and a piano, with whom he has been awarded with the Third Prize in the International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade d'Alcobaça” (Portugal). They have been the organizers of the MuXXIcalis Chamber Music season for two years and composers such as Manuel Angunlo, Hana Ajiashvili, Maria Eugenia Luc, Ramón Paus, Cruz Lopez Rego, Javier Jacinto and Oscar Escudero have dedicated some of their works to them. Trio Musicalis is sponsored by the magazine Música y Educación.
He has also participated with other music ensembles like Neopercusión, Alart quartet, Plural Ensemble, Ensemble Residencias, Ensemble de l'Orquestra de Cadaqués, Trio Dahmar, Sonor Ensemble, Mixtour, Teatre Instrumental among others.
With regards to his contribution to the orchestral music field, he has collaborated with orchestras such as the Freiburger Barockorchester, Orquestra de Cadaqués, Orquesta del Palau de les Arts de Valencia, Spira Mirabilis, Orquesta Sinfónica de Córdoba, Orquesta de Cámara Andrés Segovia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Baleares Ciudad de Palma, Orqueta de Radio Televisión Española, Orquesta de Valencia...
In 2002 he obtained the Clarinet-Bass Clarinet position at the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, and since 2006 he has held the Clarinet-Bass Clarinet position at the Orquesta Nacional de España.
